My Memories of Autumn at the Alpine Region, Victoria

My husband and I went on a three-day road trip to the Alpines in the north over the weekend, staying for a couple of nights at Freeburgh in Bright, Victoria. Driving a stretch of at least 800 kilometeres to and from Melbourne, we braved the rain, strong wind, cold and mist while visiting the beautiful towns of Beechworth, Myrtleford, Harrietville, Porepunkah, and Wandiligong while endlessly admiring the serene and lovely views along the way. The downcast weather just could not stop us from immersing ourselves in autumn's beauty, in fact it added to the drama of the season - misty covered mountains, raindrops on the leaves, fresh air.....aaaah, just can't get enough of the alpines.
