The Suzuki Night Market at Queen Victoria Market

The most awaited Suzuki Night Market has begun and my friends and I have organised a night to roam around there for a photowalk. It is only open every Wednesday night for the whole of the summer season. I have just bought a new camera, an Olympus OMD, which is intended for my street photos, so this was a good opportunity to try it out. Here are the shots I took last Wednesday night.

Hi, I'm Luster. This is a photo journal which started on 1 October 2010, to document my experiences as an Asian migrant living in Melbourne, the city that never ceases to fascinate me. I migrated here with my husband and children in 2004, after living in a few countries such as Brunei, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, and the Philippines - my country of birth. I have also had the chance to experience other cultures in my travels to other places such as India, Hawaii, Singapore, France, Israel, Hongkong, China, Cambodia, Macau, New Zealand, Japan, Austria, Norway, United Kingdom, Hungary, Vietnam, and Switzerland, and in the process learned that regardless of one's skin colour or race, we are all the same in essence, humanity is just one family. As a believer in one God, being a school teacher and now a nurse, meeting a diversity of people also opened my eyes to our innate differences that make each one of us beautifully unique, therefore teaching me to be more respectful and tolerant of others regardless of their beliefs and social background... however, being in Australia which is quite of a multi-racial country, I only know that there's still a lot more to learn...

It's been 16 years since we've landed here, but discovering the limitless beauty in the world and Down Under (the land of Oz) seems like a never ending journey, hence this bog is mainly to share snippets of this, my humble journey.
