a family outing - at mentone beach

| on a sunny weekend, driving down scenic beach road is a always a wonderful experience, especially when you're in the company of people you love. my family just had this refreshing break, the kids went swimming, my husband and i and another daughter explored the place equipped with our own cameras, then later we all played in the water...on the way back, still on beach road, we dropped by a few other beaches and watched the sun go down... |

These photos were taken at Brighton beach, late afternoon last weekend when my family went for a drive and stopped by...oh, how i loved watching the children playing in the water, and the people who were paragliding, what a lovely day.

stalking the light - at The Homestead
It seems to me that light and shadow play a great role in photography, and in my personal opinion they bring some magical effects in the subjects that you capture. You can instantly see how my eyes glitter when I see the right amount of light and shadow in places I go...how i love the light, whether natural or from any other sources...this could also be symbolic...
these photos were taken last weekend, inside the Homestead building in woodlands historical park which dates back to 1830. my daughter was a willing subject in this first photo below.

and below is the entrance to the building from the walking track. the natural light outside was not harsh at all even at noontime, it was just so refreshing to the eyes...maybe because it was a cold day and was about to rain later in the evening.

Still Waters - at Cherry Lake, Altona
I am posting this blog in honour of those who have been affected by the flash floods in Queensland. May they find refuge and strength at this moment of devastation and suffering...my sorrowful heart, in prayer, sincerely goes to them. May the raging waters be stilled...

rolling on...woodlands historic park
after the visit to greenvale reservoir park, we drove further down oaklands road at the woodlands historic park, to explore....
and the kangaroos also came out to play!

and near to the entrance is the brodies lake which is joined by three ponds...
even the weeds looked joyful...
