it was the first time for me to drive to the place and we were so fascinated with the sceneries along the freeway, there was a lavender field that made me sigh, the rolling hills....but as we were in a rush to go somewhere else, there was just no time to take photos. maybe, next time...

at the tibetan gardens
the buddhist spring festival was held at the tibetan gardens at mickleham road, yuroke. on a sunny day as today, the gardens bespeak of beauty and tranquillity that is expected in a buddhist garden. before going around, my daughter and i had vegetarian food of spinach and ricotta, veggie burger and drank chai latte at the food court. then we went around the market stalls which were selling all sorts of stuff that are tibetan, watched the photo exhibits and then strolled around the gardens. the buddhist temple looked magnificent but photos are not allowed to be taken...i was actually hoping to see the rose garden only to find out that it's only open on the third and last weekend of this month and a couple of weekends in march.
