A very pleasant stay at Riversleigh Guesthouse, Ballina NSW

I was in Ballina/Byron NSW to photograph a wedding on the last weekend in November 2014, checking the reviews of Riversleigh Guesthouse at Trip Advisor was a great help to decide on my accommodation, being my first time in the place. With very friendly, warm and hospitable hosts, Martin and Sandy immediately made me feel at home soon after I checked in. What a beautifully decorated house, immaculately clean, and the sunlight was coming in from all directions into the house during the day, with the added benefit of a scrumptious breakfast prepared by the hosts daily plus the sunny weather, I was just happy all the way.
Riversleigh Guesthouse  at 5 River Street in Ballina is a stone's throw away from Richmond River, and as a photographer, going for a sunrise and sunset shoot was way too convenient. The walks I had early in the morning and in the evening were truly refreshing, I did not have to worry about time knowing that the hotel was close by. The information centre was just across the road so you can get some advice on tours/activities in the area and where/how to go, restaurants and shops were a mere ten- to fifteen-minute walk from here, too. The airport is a ten-minute drive. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who will travel to Ballina. Your stay will surely be a very pleasurable one! A Memorable Stay in Siem Reap -Villa Medamrei

I travelled to Siem Reap, Cambodia on the second week of November 2014 and stayed there for six days mainly for photography. It was not a difficult decision for me to choose the accommodation for my stay, all I needed to do was to check the reviews in Trip Advisor and found this little homely place in the heart of the city called 'Villa Medamrei'. It is an easy five-minute walk to the shops, as well as to the day and night markets. It's also close to the lively 'Pub Street' where you can find many shops and restaurants to suit your needs and palate. If you are a photographer wanting to take shots of night scenes, this is the place to be. The famous 'Angkor Wat' is just a twenty-minute ride by 'tuktuk' and ten minutes by car from here.
The hostel also offers free airport transfer on a tuktuk if you inform them early and just $5 to go to back to the airport when you depart. Included in the rates is your daily breakfast at their clean and spacious restaurant in the upper floor, with friendly and helpful staff who are ready to serve you with a smile. You will also get a welcome drink made of iced honey lemon, banana chips and a cool face towel when you arrive. It was my first time to travel to Siem Reap and the homely environment and helpful staff made me feel safe sooner than expected.
With a bunch of very friendly and courteous reception staff, you can have your tours in Siem Reap arranged easily with them if you need one and a 'tuktuk' driver can be provided whenever you feel like exploring the many scenic places there on your own, it could be a sunrise or sunset tour in Angkor Wat, a visit to Kulen Falls or a leisurely ride to the countryside. You will be informed of the charges before each trip.
Villa Medamrei is a place that I would recommend if ever you are travelling to Siem Reap, and are looking for a reasonably priced accommodation in the heart of town. You will not be disappointed. Do check out their website at http://www.villamedamrei.com/
