Growling Frog Golf Course (Whittlesea)
And what a better way to spend Sunday morning than a drive to Whittlesea, right up to the growling frog golf course....I was humming on the drive all the way. I was feeling happy that I could get away even for a little while on my own in this beautiful country setting...hmmm, I could almost hear John Denver's 'country road' being played on the radio. It rained the night before and you could feel how fresh the air was around you! Even the animals looked as if they all just had a shower and ready for a sunny day! It did feel like Sunday! I was getting more excited in anticipation of the drive down Yan Yean Reservoir/Park after....(scroll down to the next blog for pics of Yan Yean)

Just a beautiful foggy morning - sunrise in the country (Whittlesea)
We have had beautiful foggy mornings in Melbourne the past couple of days, quite the opposite from what it has been the previous week that was rainy and sometimes, gloomy....I could not help but let go of a sleep-in just to breathe in nature's beauty.... the drive to the country was slower than usual as the road's visibility was a bit low because of the mist that was blanketing the place, therefore I had the chance to look around, stopping a couple of times to take photos and just immersing myself in a fresh ambience of sunrise, cool winds and the fog....later, after half-an-hour from home, at around 7:00 in the morning, I found myself driving up the hills...

aaah, one of the simple pleasures of life...
this is my most favourite shot in this album, it tells a story of isolation not related to loneliness... some kind of an inner calmness that dwells in "having known oneself"

Fresh as the morning breeze - at Port Melbourne
The following photos were taken at Port Melbourne in the winter. There's something beautiful about the softness of colours that the sunrise brings in the cold season. I just cannot get enough of the beauty that the calmness in the water and the gentleness of the breeze that touch your face bring. All these make me wonder...
One day at a time....I love mornings!
This blog starts today, 30 September 2010, with photos of Edwardes Lake and the Docklands (2 posts below), taken on cold wintry mornings as I went for morning walks...
