Kim is Eighteen - isn't she?

Kim has turned eighteen, and as her mother, I still could not believe how fast she has grown! She was looking forward to that day where she prepared for a couple of celebrations, though low-key in both... in this one she spent with family and relatives, while her friends organized a karaoke party on the following weekend....my mother baked a beautiful double-layered mud cake that was simply soooo delicious that one just could not get enough of it, her own recipe includes almond meal as one of the ingredients...simply finger-lickin!
my dear darling Kim, many many happy returns of the day and may you be blessed throughout with a happy and fruitful life!

Sunita - in a Sari

It was wonderful having the chance to photograph Sunita, her spontaneous and youthful personality makes her companionship such a delight. Sunita is from Nepal living in Melbourne.

I just love the way she handles herself in a sari....

Rolling back to winter - walking along St. Kilda Rd in spring

This album was taken last Thursday, 8 Sept to be exact...I was looking forward to a sunny, cool spring...but instead Melbourne was faced with a cold front, the day was even colder than I imagined, it even rained in the morning. After work/school, my son and I went to the city supposedly to meet my husband and one of my daughters as both were heading towards the city then...at that moment, the rain had stopped but chilly it was! Nevertheless I brought my camera, just in case. Well, it wasn't so bad after all, we walked towards the National Art Gallery and I was pleased that the sun was setting beautifully along the southbank....Thanks God, it's Thursday (TGIT)...
Ah, Melbourne and its four seasons in a day!

Melbourne City this Friday

Thanks God, It's Friday! I had such a long week...as if there is such a thing as a short week?...the weather was one of the finest, just cool and it felt so fresh....went for a walk around the city with my son, Daniel after school/work. Took him to the street art laneways, and was fascinated with the graffitti, he even had the chance to look at how they are painted.....

then as we walked along Swanston Street we saw the hulahoop man who said that he's from Korea

the city was simply lively with the crowd walking around

we also looked at an amazing painting, being done on the sidewalk of Bourke Street

and while walking on the way back to the train station, there was this group of Korean cultural dancers, they showed a sample of a dance that they were doing at a show which was happening in an hour's time along Albert Street

then we stopped at the city square along Swanston Street

and rushed to Flinders Station to catch the 6:28 train back home....

The Garden Song

My third visit to Heidi garden was unplanned... I had to send my son to Sunday School and while waiting for a couple of hours till I pick him up again... thought of going for a walk...it was right after the rain and the garden was surprisingly lovely....had a pleasant day.
